I’m Jason Rapp, Head of Design & Animation at Merit/Andrew—a designer, animator, and storyteller based in Orange County, California. I’m passionate about turning ideas into powerful visual experiences, blending thoughtful design with narrative-driven creativity.
After spending 15 years in Hollywood working in animation for major studios—creating sports titles, show promos, and commercials for brands like ESPN, FOX, NBC, and the X Games—I joined Merit/Andrew and launched our Animation & Design department in 2011. Since then, I’ve led the growth of the team and discipline, helping shape the visual language of our work and expanding what motion can do for the brands we partner with.
At Merit/Andrew, I’m focused on making sure everything we create feels distinctly “us”—smart, intentional, and visually striking—while collaborating closely with our directors, designers, and clients to keep pushing the craft and the storytelling.
Outside of the studio, you’ll usually find me off-roading somewhere far from pavement or painting—both outlets that recharge my creativity and keep me exploring new perspectives.
